Today’s Task Reading

You’ve made it to Day 9.  Well done!  This week we are focused on using the Bible for Guidance as we setup our health and wealth routine.

God owns everything.  He wants us to be great managers of all the things He has given to us. Our level of health may not be where we want it to be, but God wants us to be great manager of our health, which means our day-to-day habits should help us be healthier the best way we know how (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)!  In the same way, our wealth may not be where we want it to be, but God wants us to be great managers of the wealth and our day-to-day habits should help us be wealthier the best way we know how!!!  That’s why we should be constantly educating ourselves on how to be better managers of our health and wealth.  The goal of this series is to help us be better managers of our health and wealth.  If we are faithful with little, God will trust us with more.

For today’s task we will research ways we can protect our health and wealth.

Some examples of how we can protect our health are …

  • wash body
  • clean teeth
  • dry brush skin
  • wash hands after using the toilet
  • wash hands before preparing / eating food
  • change into clean clothes
  • cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
  • change sanitary napkins regularly, at least four to five times daily
  • wash hands before/after handling sanitary napkins

Some examples of how we can protect our wealth are …

  • building an emergency fund
  • setting up an automatic budget
  • freezing our credit
  • improving our credit score
  • saving for retirement
  • getting enough insurance
  • building professional network
  • filing taxes
  • avoiding unnecessary fees
  • diversifying our investments
  • giving to ministries that build the kingdom of God
  • giving to poor, homeless, orphans, widows, disabled, etc.

Many people are sick and lack because they are poor managers of their health and wealth.  They choose not to do EVERYTHING they can to care for their health and wealth due to lack of self-disciple.  That’s why we continual filling of the Holy Spirit.  When we are responsibility with the resources God has given us, such as our health and wealth, it is an act of worship to God (Romans 12:1).

Here are 9 questions we should ask ourselves.   These questions will help us see how well we are managing health and wealth.  Every question answered “yes” is great and every question answered “I’m not sure” or “no” is okay because we will soon have a solid answer once we complete the entire Faith and Fit 90 Series 1.  The 9 questions are …

  • Are you working hard and working smart?
  • Are you getting out of debt and keeping out of debt?
  • Are you saving & investing?
  • Are you giving?
  • Are you resting?
  • Are you following God’s eating plan?
  • Are you cleansing?
  • Are you de-stressing?
  • Are you healing?

Today’s Prayer:  God, You reign over heaven and earth.  You own everything in heaven and earth.  You created heaven and earth.  You and Your works are awesome.  We need more of Your Holy Spirit here in our heart, life, community, country, and world.   Pour your Spirit out on us.  Help us protect our money and body with healthy routines inspired by You so we can build up ourselves and Your Kingdom.  Forgive us for getting in debt, spending unwisely, and not saving for emergencies and our future.  Forgive us for allowing ourselves to get addicted to unhealthy food, not resting and exercising.  Help us to forgive others just as you have forgiven us.  Protect us from all dangers, seen and unseen.  Deliver us from all evil, temptations and obstacles that hinder us from achieving great health and wealth.  Your Kingdom shall reign forever in the heavens and on earth. In Jesus Name, Amen.
