Today’s Task Reading
On Day 9, we created money and health routines and today we will turn those routines into a habit. We will do them on a daily basis, not occasionally, which will make them an automatic behavior. A visually tool that can help us to consistently perform our streak habit is getting an over-sized 12 month dry erase wall calendar with a red dry erase marker and putting a big red X over each day we complete our money and health routines. The focus is to showing up every day, practicing the routines and not breaking the streaks of red Xs.
Proverbs 12:24 NKJV says “The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor” and Proverbs 22:29 says “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.”
Diligence is very important when working. It helps us to get pass the stages of oppositions, resentments, etc and sets us up for honor by people in authority. I want to encourage us to pursue our financial and health goals with diligence. It is the pathway to greatness.
To be diligent we must have commitment and perseverance. Besides completing something is much better than just beginning something (Ecclesiastes 7:8). We don’t want to be the person that starts something and don’t complete it. Let us develop the will- through the power of the Holy Spirit and scriptures- to complete all assignments with excellence. It will bring glory to God and we will be recognized by those in authority.
Today’s Prayer: God, You don’t not change. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. You are consistently faithful and true. That’s why You deserve all the glory, honor and praise. We need you here to dwell in the hearts of your people and dwell in the nations throughout the earth. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Help us to completely yield to your guidance and direction. Give us all the diligence and perseveres we need this day. So we can stick to our health and wealth routines. Help us to resist temptations of quitting, being inconsistent, and procrastinating. In Jesus name, Amen.
