Week 13: Healing

Today’s Easy Task: Let us consider using essential oils to assist our body with self-healing.

  • Complete today’s task reading
  • Pray today’s prayer
  • Read today’s scriptures

Today’s Task Reading:

Today let us consider using essential oils to assist our body with self-healing.  Oil symbolizes the spirit of God (1 Samuel 16:1-13).  Essential oils are anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, anti-microbial, anti-neuralgic and anti-rheumatic.

The Holy Spirit was able to make a dead man alive.  Surely the Holy Spirit can make a sick man healthy (Romans 8:11).  In the Bible, James 5:14, instructs for us to have our elders anoint with oil, when we are sick to receive our healing.

If we are willing to partner with the Holy Spirit, we can receive instructions and counsel for what we need, right when we need it (John 14:26).  Below are oil recipes that can help assist our body with healing.

Oil Recipe for Nerve Damage

  • 15 drops geranium
  • 10 drops helichrysum
  • 10 drops wintergreen
  • 8 drops marjoram
  • 6 drops cypress
  • 5 drops peppermint
  • 2 drops clove
  • 2 drops lemon

Oil Recipe for Joint Pain

  • 4 drops juniper
  • 3 drops peppermint
  • 3 drops marjoram
  • 3 drops chamomile
  • 3 drops helichrysum
  • 3 drops ginger
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Oil Recipe for Hypo-thyroid

  • 10 drops clove
  • 10 drops myrrh
  • 8 drops frankincense
  • 8 drops lemongrass
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Oil Recipe for Insomnia

  • 8 drops lavender
  • 8 drops valerian
  • 8 drops Young Living’s peace and calming blend
  • ¾ cup coconut oil

Today’s Prayer:  God, You reign forever and ever in the heavens and on earth.  We are so thankful for You.  You deserve all the glory, honor and praise. Let Your kingdom come and will be done in our lives. When we need medicine, help us to use the Holy Spirit as our medicine.  Since the Holy Spirit is symbolic for oil, help us to use essential oils to assist our bodies with self healing.  Help us to partner with the Holy Spirit to receive the instructions and counsel we need right when we need it.  Give us knowledge, wisdom and understanding we need to understand the best way to use essential oils as a remedy.  We ask You to forgive us for all our debts, trespasses, and sins as we forgive our debtors and those who have trespassed and sinned against us.  Lead us not into temptation.  Everyday help us to be equipped with the full armor of God as You deliver us from evil.  For Yours is the Kingdom, Power and Glory.  In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Today’s Scriptures:  1 Samuel 16:1-13, Romans 8:11, James 5:14, John 14:26

1 Samuel 16:1-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
David Anointed King
16 Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have [a]provided Myself a king among his sons.”
2 And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.”
But the Lord said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you.”
4 So Samuel did what the Lord said, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, “Do you come peaceably?”
5 And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify[b] yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.
6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have [c]refused him. For[d] the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
8 So Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 9 Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 10 Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.”
And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not [e]sit down till he comes here.” 12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with [f]bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
