I was looking for easy smoothie recipes. I came across Shine with Plants’ 4 Smoothies I drink each week | Easy & Raw Vegan recipes Video.
Since I’m always looking for creative ways to include spirulina and barley grass juice powder, I had to try it and I was pleasantly surprise on how delicious it was. The longer the smoothie sat the thicker it became, but I didn’t add the 1 cup of water. So I would say, drink the smoothie immediately. But i must note that I used Vitamineral green powder, instead of barley green grass powder, so that could have been the reason for the smoothie thicken so much with time. Shine with Plants mentioned that the recipe came from Medical Medium Blog. Try this Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie recipe, you just might be pleasantly surprised too 🙂
Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie
- 2 bananas riped
- 2 cups wild blueberries
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tsp barley grass juice powder or green powder
- 1 tsp spirulina
- 1 handful Atlantic dulse
- 1 cup water to blend (optional)
- Put all ingredients into a high speed blender
- Blend all ingredients until smooth
- If thinner consistency is desired, add up to 1 cup of water.
