Have you heard the song, “Yes Lord, Yes” by Shirley Caesar. It is a song that illustrates complete surrender to God’s will. The action of surrender doesn’t happen naturally. So practicing the process of obedience with an actually hands-on activity is the best way to learn obedience. The “Yes Lord, Yes” game help us practice obedience because whenever we feel God is speaking to us, we stop what we are doing to sing the song “Yes Lord, Yes and then we do what God says enthusiastically.
We have made it to Day 19!
Yesterday, we meditated on 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and Matthew 7:24-27. Today, we will select a day to unplug – fast from technology for 24 hours so we can spend time to rest with God.
In life there are so many distractions, sometimes it is necessary to unplug from the distractions so we can connect to God. The benefits of connecting with God are…
You’ve made it to Day 18!
Are you taking the time to ask God for a clean heart, continual filling of the Holy Spirit and strength to put on the Whole Armor of God every day? I truly hope so. Today, we’re going to take your faith to the next level by emphasizing the importance of God’s Word.
Yesterday, you checked in with God! That’s Awesome!
Today is now the time for breaking the curse and removing all hindrances! We will study Psalm 139:23-24, Acts 13:52 and Ephesians 6:10-20. Psalm 139:23-24 will give us a instructions on a clean heart. Acts 13:52 will give us instructions on being filled with the Holy Spirit and not evil spirits. Ephesians 6:10-20 will give us instructions on the Whole Armor of God.
Yesterday, we realized that every thought that goes through our head isn’t automatically true and we should compare them to scriptures. Today, we are focusing on the fact that God has created us for a great purpose. Those purposes are unique and special. They are bigger that anything we could ever image (1 Corinthians 2:9). The details of our one-of-a-kind plan are so intricate that we must check in with God daily to see if we are fulfilling the plan correctly, if we forgot something or doing something the wrong way (Hebrews 13:21).
This week we will focus on building faith! We will start on an important topic of how we handle the thoughts that go through our heads. Every though that is in our head, doesn’t always come from ourselves, but Satan can put thoughts in our head to distract us and rob us from fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives.
