DIY Tools and Recipes for Oral and Skin Care

For 90 days I will be using the following tools and recipes to improve my oral and skin care:

Oil Pulling
Put desired amount of Coconut oil in mouth and keep it in mouth for 20 minutes. Then spit the oil out of mouth. Then brush teeth.

DIY Toothpaste
Mix 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of baking soda only or 2 tablespoons of baking soda/sea salt combined (optional) and 40 drops of thrive in a glass container.

DIY Mouth Rinse
Mix 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice, 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide, and 1/2 cup of filter water from Berkey in a glass container.
To use: Put a tablespoon on a clean face. Massage gently. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

DIY Face Scrub
Mix 2 cups of Epson salt, 1 cup of pumpkin seed oil, 1 drop of frankincense oil and 1 drop of lavender oil in a glass container.
To use: Put a tablespoon on a clean face. Massage gently. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

Dry Skin Brushing
Get your natural (non synthetic) bristle brush and begin brushing your skin starting at your feet in long sweeping motions toward your heart.

Infrared Sauna
Before the infrared sauna session it is nice to put some essential oils in the diffuser and read one of the thirteensFaith and fit 90 series workbook and practice biblical meditation. One-by-one use each of your 5 senses to focus (it takes approximately 5 minutes), then begin meditating on a joyous word or phrase inspired by Bible verse for 15 minutes. If the mind begins to wonder, focus on that joyous word or phrase. After the mediation, say 3 things you are grateful for. Then picture God answering one of your prayers. Play the scenes in your mind, how you feel, how you are reacting and the benefits you are experiencing from that answered prayer.

Usage Precautions

  • sauna is not medical equipment and is not intended for medical purposes
  • check with your doctor before using sauna when pregnant or if under medical care
  • stop using sauna if you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy
  • do not plug in while folded for storage
  • staying too long in sauna can cause overheating

It is recommended that you DO NOT use sauna for over 30 minutes day and DO NOT use it more than 3 times per week

DO NOT use sauna under any of the following Health conditions:

  • any type of respiratory condition
  • anyone with a heart condition
  • high or low blood pressure
  • pregnancy
  • any skin disease or disorder
  • after or during drinking alcohol or alcoholic beverages
